Sexuality: Straight. He has a girlfriend and child.
Appearance:
He's a Pikachu, a small yellow rodent with red cheeks, brown-orange markings on its back and at the base of his tail. Black marks on the tips of its ears. It has a lightning-bolt-shaped tail, which is its most noticable characteristic. He has a scar on his ear from a fight long ago, which is the best way to tell him from other Pikachu.

Personality:
Pika is a rude, rather uncivilized Pikachu. He steals what he wants, if someone annoys him he'll not just take it. He has mellowed out by being around Red. With both Red and Yellow he's gained a softer side, willing to help people because it's a good idea. He's not a violent little rodent without provocation. He's more likely to ignore what he doesn't respect than attack it (like he would have). However the creature while smart, is impudent and has very little respect for unproven authority. Given time he might warm up to those around him.

Abilities:
First and foremost he's a Pikachu, this mean he's small, nimble, and high voltage. He has a natural resistant to electric shocks and able to give them out pretty freely. His voltage can't kill, but it hurts, a lot. He has a few other moves besides his Thunder moves. Most notable is his Substitute ability, which makes an energy Doppleganger. It can pass through solid objects, and intercept attacks for Pikachu's body. It can do everything else Pika can do, and is a wonderful scout for the rat. Dispelling a Substitute is easy however, a simple attack will disperse it. Pika can make a Surfboard using Substitute (theoretically he could try to surf off the island save that BIG MOMMA WOULD EAT HIM) sized for a small rodent and maybe a 10 year old kid. He can also strengthen his tail, making it as tough as steel, however its a slow unweildy move (and Pikachu isn't that strong, even with this move).

Pikachu is also very aware of those around him, good senses of smell and hearing. Electric rodents have predators in the native habitats. Simple disguises might confuse Pikachu at first but if its someone he knows he'll see through it (provided they haven't manipulated their voice or scent in some way). Clark Kenting does not work on Pikachu... unless its Magic. Pikachu's sense of smell is only useful for recognition, not tracking. His hearing is great for locating people (and creatures) nearby, great to be aware of those around you.

Pikachu cannot talk like humans, he may repeat his own name which makes his own language. He also understands (practically) every language he's run across, all forms of Human speech, anything a Pokemon says, and most animal noises. All Pokemon freely understand each other without issue, so Pikachu's own words might be understood by animals, highly inteligent aliens, and empathic creatures.

However he does have a means of communicating (besides typing): Electrical discharges. It's difficult to understand if you don't have a ready understanding of electricity, so its easiest to communicate using this with someone that controls or manipulates electricity themseles. The shock won't be anything more than jarring, like a yell being felt by your whole body. With those that manipulate lightning full thoughts and proper grammer can get through. A normal human a single thought or a few words might be understood.
Note: This ability idea is stolen straight out of the movie which while not canon for the manga I figured was a neat bypass on Pikachu's communications issues. I did write it up, but it's not manga canon.

Weaknesses:
From a strictly combat based look he's got a fairly big weakness. Pikachu, first of all, relies heavily on his Thunder to do his defense AND offense. So he's very much in trouble if whatever he fights can't be shocked. He also can't go throwing electricity if those he cares about would be hit too. So a flooded room would shut him down. He's also got a glass jaw the size of his whole body, a good shot to the anypart of him and he's down for the count.

Personality wise Pikachu isn't very trusting unless they prove it to him or they remind him of the handful of people he does trust. Which means that he probably won't listen the first time he's warned not to do something. In fact, he's the kind of soul that if told not to do something he'll do it to spite them. So his failure to listen to folks will hurt him.

Also, being barely over a foot tall and not even 15 lbs is a pretty sizable handicap in a world meant for people closer to 5 feet tall and 100+ lbs. Automatic doors annoy Pikachu. So do really heavy doors. Also he can't reach the top shelf of anywhere.

Manhattanite or outsider? Definitely Outsider.
History:
Toward the beginning of Red's adventure training Pokemon he arrived at Pewter City while there was a large ammount of ruckus in the market. Caused by this single electric rodent stealing food and evading the crowd. They attempted to capture him time after time but he escaped. Finally Red fought the Pikachu and captured it, naming the little guy "Pika" (Red is so imaginative). "Pika" was NOT thrilled by this.

However after their first battle together he... stopped hating Red as much, the guy seemed okay. Slowly he calmed down and accepted things how they were, they could have always be worse. Over the next two years he travelled with Red happily fighting alongside his cunning but somewhat dense master. Saur and Poli weren't that bad. Gyara seemed scary but also was pretty mellow, kinda like Aero. Lax was boring, but comfy to sleep on.

However his master lost a fight, not just lost but lost bad. Pika barely escaped himself, taking Red's Pokedex and returning to Pallet Town and Oak's lab. His memory of the event scattered by his injuries, and haunted by horrible nightmares of the event. A trainer by the name of Yellow, who Pika had met before came and took him. Also taking Red's Pokedex. He traveled with Yellow searching to save Red and stop whoever set Red up in that trap. Pika and Yellow got along fine, she could read his thoughts and heal his wounds. Both really neat abilities for a human. She helped to free him of his nightmares and eventually reunited with Red.

Pika traveled with Yellow again a year later, along with his new mate Chuchu (Yellow's new Pikachu). Another adventure involving legendary Pokemon and a plot that held the fate of the world. Oh yeah, and he had a baby Pichu with his girlfriend. Team Rocket attacked, Pika and Chuchu escaped with their egg using balloons. Met up with a guy named Gold, he hatched the Egg almost instantly after touching it. Which confused and worried Pika. Anyway, Evil lost, good won, all in all a good time there.

Next trip which happened quite a bit after that was Red returning his Pokedex then going to the Sevii Islands. They lost, hard, against a creature that really hurt this girl Blue. But we did have another epic clash with Green, and it ended in a draw. I was too injured to really fight Deoxys again, so he did it partnered with Mewtwo. Team Rocket was behind all of this, Red beat Giovanni and Team Rocket, but the last attack turned the trainers (and their pokemon in Pokeballs to stone). Which is the last thing Pika remembers.
